Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
Location: Greater Central Connecticut Area (near Southington / Cheshire)
Work Model: In-office with periodic site visits
A well‑established commercial electrical contractor in Central Connecticut is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction efforts on complex commercial projects. This role will play a key part in estimate development, review, and overall bid strategy, while collaborating closely with leadership, project teams, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead preparation and review of detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive pricing proposals
- Review scope, identify risks, and ensure accuracy and completeness of bid packages
- Provide guidance and technical support to other estimators as needed
- Participate in pre‑bid meetings and occasional site walk‑throughs
- Collaborate with internal teams to align estimating assumptions with field execution
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools
- 7+ years of experience in commercial electrical estimating
- Experience leading or reviewing estimates for large or complex projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency with electrical estimating software (Accubid strongly preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple bids while maintaining accuracy and deadlines
