Tutoring, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional
The ELA Tutor will assist teachers and students with varied classroom activities, with a focus on Math preparation in Evidence-based Reading and Writing. The tutor will work with students under a teacher's direction to provide individualized and small-group academic support aligned to standards and testing strategies. Will plan, implement, and assess services to provide targeted interventions that support student growth, confidence, and college readiness.
Reports to:
Building Principal
Employment Conditions: 5.5 hrs per day, 5 days per week
Salary:
- $26.40/hour without a Bachelor's Degree
- Certified Teacher
- Meriden Federation of Teachers Member- $45.96 - Certified Teacher
- Not Meriden Federation of Teachers- $30.00 - Non-Certified Teacher “Shortage Area” with BA, not Meriden Federation of Teachers
- Passing Math Test
