Position Overview
This organization is a recognized leader in the development and production of advanced resin and polymer technologies, supporting several industries such as automotive, construction, electronics, and consumer products. They have a handful of manufacturing sites in the United States and also have a presence in Europe.
This will be a quality engineer role wearing several hats, as this is a smaller facility. This is an especially good opportunity for someone earlier in their career who is looking to gain a well‑rounded skillset and who wants to be a part of building something. Among the responsibilities of this role are:
- Day‑to‑day quality work in the lab and interfacing with folks in the plant (root‑cause analysis, corrective action planning and execution)
- Participate in the rebuilding and improvement of the QMS (quality management system) for this facility
- Participate and spearhead the developing of an SPC program
- Optimization of tracking and reporting quality metrics and support of the Management of Change (MOC) process
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering required
- 3+ years of post‑college, chemical industry experience
- Must have worked in a PSM‑regulated manufacturing plant
- Looking for someone who knows "what good looks like" in terms of quality systems, within chemical manufacturing
- Huge plus for six‑sigma green belt and/or black‑belt
