Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and biopharmaceutical industry, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Manufacturing Equipment Engineer
- Project Manager to join their dynamic team. As a vital member of the engineering department supporting manufacturing operations, you will bring your expertise, problem‑solving skills, and proactive attitude to help drive excellence and continuous improvement across projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and technical skills, aligning seamlessly with the organization’s commitment to quality and safety.

Job Title: Manufacturing Equipment Engineer
- Project Manager

Location: Meriden, CT

Pay Range: $60-70/hr on W2
Contract: 12 months to start, potential to extend

What's the Job?
  • Lead the specification, design, build, and installation of manufacturing equipment to support production needs.
  • Manage multiple capital projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve equipment performance, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring design, build, and installation efforts meet project specifications and standards.
  • Implement engineering tools such as DOE, FMEA, SPC, and statistical analysis to optimize processes and mitigate risks.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field with 5 years of applicable experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects for manufacturing equipment, including both manual and automated systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and vendors effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Solid Works/PDM or equivalent engineering software.
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA, ISO 13485 standards, and experience in medical device or biopharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
