1. This position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time employment on a project with a collaborative and experienced survey team.

• Operate survey instruments such as total stations, data collectors, GPS, and other standard survey equipment.
• Collect information required to conduct new surveys using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records, and other relevant information.
• Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plans.
• Conduct surveys to determine locations of natural features and man-made structures on the Earth’s surface, underground, and underwater using electronic distance measuring equipment and other surveying instruments.
• Direct and supervise day-to-day work of subordinate members of surveying parties; lay out grids; determine horizontal and vertical controls; maintain survey equipment and vehicles; and perform other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of surveying experience with a strong working knowledge of surveying equipment.
• HS Diploma or equivalent; AAS in Surveying is a plus.
• Valid Professional Land Surveyor License required.
• Detail oriented with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to review/understand written civil construction and architectural plans and specifications.
• Availability to work overtime as needed, with the ability to travel for overnight assignments.
• Possession of or ability to obtain OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Certification and applicable scaffolding training certifications.
• Valid, clean driver’s license is required.

While performing the essential functions of these positions, the employee is frequently required to move around on the job-site, including ascending or descending the landscape, and to access necessary materials and equipment; work may occur in hazardous conditions such as woods, water, or snow. The employee must regularly lift and/or move equipment up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 75 lbs.

This position may involve extended periods of vehicle operation. Close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required to detect non-conformities. Employees may be required to undergo substance abuse testing in accordance with project requirements, US DOT regulations, and/or company policy. Pay Range: $45.00 - $67.00 per hour
