We are seeking an experienced Senior Packaging Engineer to design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for robotic systems and components. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products are packaged securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively for transportation, storage, and final delivery. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing to deliver high-quality and compliant packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative packaging solutions for robotic products and components using tools such as Solid Works and AutoCAD
  • Evaluate and select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product protection and cost efficiency
  • Conduct packaging validation and testing to ensure integrity during transit, handling, and storage conditions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging meets product specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize packaging processes, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability
  • Develop and maintain packaging documentation, specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues during manufacturing, shipping, and customer delivery
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities with scalable and robust packaging solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in packaging design, material selection, and testing—preferably within robotics, electronics, or medical device industries
  • Strong knowledge of packaging standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as Solid Works and AutoCAD
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ISTA testing, drop testing, and transit simulation
  • Familiarity with sustainable packaging solutions and cost-reduction strategies
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO, or regulatory environments is a plus
