Position OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Loan Operations Specialist for an open-ended contract opportunity in Meriden, Connecticut. This role supports loan operations functions related to partial release research, legal documentation review, title-related analysis, and loan servicing support activities
. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in title, mortgage, escrow, loan servicing, or loan operations
, with the ability to review legal property documentation, research discrepancies, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure timely and accurate completion of work.

- Perform research and support activities related to partial releases
, including gathering documentation, validating property information, and assisting with resolution of title or loan-related issues - Review easements, eminent domain documentation, legal description corrections, re-plats, and related property records to support loan operations processes
- Correspond with borrowers, title companies, attorneys, state representatives, and other stakeholders to obtain documentation and resolve issues
- Organize, review, analyze, cross-check, and validate loan and property-related information for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain assigned tasks and case files while ensuring service levels, deadlines, and quality standards are met
- Prepare written reports, summaries, and correspondence related to partial release research and documentation findings
- Review, edit, and verify legal forms, title-related documents, and supporting records for accuracy and completeness
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, or documentation issues and conduct follow-up research to obtain resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal and loan operations partners, when escalations or additional review are needed
- Support documentation tracking, file maintenance, and workflow updates within the loan operations process
- Apply attention to detail and critical thinking to support issue resolution and ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
- Perform additional loan operations or administrative duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, paralegal studies certification, or equivalent related job experience preferred
- Title insurance experience or closely related title, escrow, mortgage, or loan operations experience required
- Minimum 5 years of related experience preferred
, with consideration given to candidates whose background closely aligns with the required responsibilities - Experience in loan operations, loan servicing, mortgage processing, title, escrow, or legal document review strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of property-related documentation, title records, legal descriptions, and loan servicing support processes
- Ability to analyze documents, identify inconsistencies, and conduct research to resolve issues independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Mortgage industry experience
- Experience handling partial releases or related title/property research
- Familiarity with legal descriptions, property boundaries, plats, easements, and title-related documentation
- Paralegal studies coursework, legal support background, or equivalent experience reviewing legal or title documents
