Our client is a well-established Connecticut-based bank with a strong presence in the private client and wealth management space. The bank is seeking an experienced Private Banker to drive business development and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Source and acquire new private banking clients through networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary relationship manager for HNW/UHNW clients. Provide tailored financial advice and proactive service.
  • Investment Oversight: Coordinate investment strategy with internal portfolio managers or external advisors. Ensure portfolios align with client goals and risk profiles.
  • Trust & Estate Services: Advise clients on trust structures, estate planning needs, and fiduciary services. Collaborate with in-house or external trust officers and legal advisors.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to introduce other bank products and services, including credit, lending, and commercial banking.
  • Compliance & Risk: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements. Ensure client activities and documentation are compliant with internal and external standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in private banking, wealth advisory, or related fields
  • Proven track record of acquiring and managing HNW/UHNW relationships
  • Strong understanding of investment management, trust services, and estate planning
  • Deep network within the regional HNW client base
  • FINRA Series 7/66 and/or applicable fiduciary licenses preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFP/CFA designation a plus
