Position:
Physical Therapy - PT - Home Care

Are you looking for a strong work culture, a supportive team, and an opportunity to focus on excellent patient care?

We hope you will consider working for Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care as a full-time, staff Physical Therapist. You will find that our work culture emphasizes collaboration and making the effort to provide the care needed. Our Therapy Supervisor is happy to mentor you or provide consultation for any situation. The Nursing Supervisor is available to you for consultation on medical questions or areas of concern.

Even though you work independently in the field, the emphasis is on supporting you.

It is our mission to provide quality care. We value each person and care for a diverse and often underserved population. As a faith-based agency, our belief in the dignity of each person informs how we treat our patients and each other, regardless of faith or belief system. Similarly, your quality time with the patients is valued more than rigid productivity standards.

Many of our staff members say they can provide the care they always wanted because they have the time.

Some of the greatest benefits we can offer you are not on paper:

  • Work with the Therapy Supervisor to establish and modify your service “territory.”
  • Keep your own patients from admission to discharge.
  • Build strong professional relationships with your patients.
  • Learn from your colleagues.
  • Have opportunities to mentor students and help build the future of physical therapy in Connecticut.

Aside from a current CT Physical Therapy License, you will need to demonstrate some experience in physical therapy because the work environment is independent. Typically, three years of experience is a good minimum, though if you are a strong candidate with less experience, we would be willing to consider your resume with a cover letter of explanation.

Benefits Provided:
  • Health Insurance
  • Paid-time off/vacation
  • 403(b), like a 401(k) but for non-profits
  • Sick leave
  • Parental leave
  • Paid holidays
Job Type: Full-time
  • Health insurance
  • Health savings account
  • Paid time off
Education:
  • Master's (Preferred)
Experience:
  • Physical Therapists: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
  • Current CT Physical Therapy License (Required)
