EXPERIENCED AS OPTOMETRIC TECHNICIAN MANDATORY
Are you passionate about eye care and helping patients achieve optimal vision? Meriden Eye Care is seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to join our team in Meriden, Connecticut. As an integral part of our optometry clinic, you will work alongside experienced professionals and make a difference in our patients' lives.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-testing procedures for eye exams
- Perform visual field testing and lensometry
- Assist with contact lens fittings and dispensing
- Utilize autorefractors to measure visual acuity
- Provide excellent patient care and support
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of EHR and Office Mate
- Knowledge of optical terminology and procedures
- Experience with NCLE certification and prescription dispensing
- Ability to assist with scribing and diagnosis
- Strong background in retail sales and medical assisting
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Tonometry skills
- Optical Coherence Tomography skills
- Refraction skills
- Autorefractor skills
