Connecticut DSS is seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst with strong manual and automation testing experience. A significant component of this assignment involves testing and validating Spanish-language functionality and content within mission-critical applications.

The tester will independently validate Spanish-language screens, correspondence, notices, messages, workflows, and other resident-facing content against approved English-language requirements and expected business outcomes.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of QA experience testing large enterprise applications
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Strong hands-on manual testing
  • Experience with test automation and automation frameworks
  • SDLC and Agile/Scrum experience
  • Experience creating detailed test scenarios and test cases
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect-management skills
  • Ability to compare English and Spanish application content for accuracy and consistency
Technical Skills

Candidates should have experience with many of the following:

Selenium, TestNG, Java, Salesforce testing, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, Postman, SQL, mobile/PWA testing, JSON/XML, Git, and CI/CD concepts.

The Spanish requirement is directly tied to the QA work. Candidates should be capable of:

  • Reading and understanding complex Spanish application content
  • Comparing Spanish translations against approved English requirements
  • Testing Spanish screens, fields, labels, instructions, alerts, and error messages
  • Validating Spanish notices, correspondence and forms
  • Identifying inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or contextually inappropriate Spanish content
  • Creating Spanish-specific test cases
  • Documenting Spanish-language defects in a way English-speaking technical teams can act upon
  • Performing regression testing of Spanish functionality
Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Candidates who meet one or more of the following qualifications will receive preference:

Spanish-language/localization testing;
Connecticut DSS or other State Government experience;
Medicaid/Medicare;
Integrated Eligibility Systems; SNAP/TANF;
Human Services;
Salesforce implementations; healthcare payer or eligibility systems; LTSS/MFP; and other public-sector modernization programs
