Position Summary
The Planner is responsible for supporting production planning activities for Clients semi‑finished and finished goods as well as membrane manufacturing work centers, including casting, drying, and taping operations. This role works closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure customer orders are planned, built, and delivered on time while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities- Provide production planning support for make‑to‑order finished goods and kanban‑driven semi‑finished goods.
- Plan and monitor production orders to support key performance indicators including Backlog, OTIF (On‑Time In‑Full), and Inventory.
- Track, communicate, and follow through on production expedites, ensuring priority orders move efficiently through the manufacturing floor.
- Monitor order builds to ensure they are completed timely and not left under built or stalled in the system.
- Identify finished goods overbuilds and proactively apply available inventory to open customer orders.
- Support membrane production work centers (casting, drying, taping) by monitoring production readiness and material flow.
- Maintain accurate planning data and updates within the ERP system.
- Analyze demand, production status, and inventory data using Excel and standard planning reports.
- Prepare and share planning updates with Manufacturing and Supply Chain partners.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve planning issues, shortages, or schedule conflicts.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to planning accuracy, execution, and inventory management.
- Follow applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, basic formulas, filtering, pivot tables preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with manufacturing teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing production needs.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and follow‑up skills.
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or other STEM discipline.
- Previous experience or internships in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Interest in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain analytics.
