position summaryrfs technologies seeks a manufacturing electrician to support first shift support for the facility. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role supports safe, reliable plant operations by minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with all electrical codes and safety standards.
essential job functions- install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, controls, plcs, vfds, sensors, and production machinery
- troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions
- perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and components
- read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- support new equipment installations, upgrades, and facility electrical projects
- support equipment reliability and uptime initiatives
- ensure compliance with osha, and company safety policies
- collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues
- document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage
- maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience
- strong knowledge of 3-phase power, control circuits, and industrial automation
- ability to use electrical testing equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.)
- ability to work independently and respond to production priorities
- exposure to plc-controlled manufacturing equipment and automation systems
- electrical license required per state of ct requirements
- technical or trade school preferred
- osha 10/30 safety training required
