Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer

HiFyve is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer in the Aerospace industry in Meriden, CT! Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year

Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Location:

On-Site | Meriden, CT

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Program CNC VTL, milling, and lathe machines to support production requirements.
  • Modify and optimize CNC programs to improve machining efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Support machine setup, run first article parts, and release jobs into production.
  • Develop manufacturing methods, process flows, setup sheets, and operation documentation.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues on the production floor.
  • Develop fixture and tooling concepts to support new and existing manufacturing processes.
  • Support quoting and estimating activities by evaluating machining requirements and manufacturing methods.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, quality, and productivity.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree, CNC programming certification, or related manufacturing education preferred.
  • Additional training in machining, manufacturing engineering, or CNC programming is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • CNC programming experience with VTL, mill, and lathe machining centers.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, work holding, and fixturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience supporting machine setups, first article runs, and production launches.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes and routing operations from order receipt through production.
  • Knowledge of process improvement, troubleshooting, and machining optimization techniques.
  • Experience supporting job costing, quoting, or estimating activities in a manufacturing environment.
