GN Req MMC - Registered Nurse; RN Family Birthing Center

Location: 435 Lewis Avenue-Midstate Med (10123)

Shift: GN position, nights once off orientation, part of Family Birthing float pool

Under the direction and general supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and in collaboration with the medical staff. The RN utilizes the nursing process to develop a plan of care that includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family, incorporating the needs and behaviors of the patient’s age group in planning and providing care.

• BSN (preferred)

• Current RN license in the state of Connecticut
• Must have previous RN experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume environment.
• Self‑directed in the management of patient care.
