Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - ED

Shift

12 hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Behavioral Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence‑based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and the medical staff’s directions. The registered nurse employs the nursing process to develop a plan of care that includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.

Qualifications
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of Connecticut.
  • Previous RN experience required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑volume environment.
  • Self‑directed in patient care management.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent problem‑solving skills.
