Overview
Hartford Health Care, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut, has a growth opportunity for an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cohesive team and provide value-based care to patients in practice-based settings in Hartford Health Care’s Central region. Ideally located with proximity to New York and Massachusetts.
Location and ScheduleLocation: 435 Lewis Avenue-Midstate Med (10123)
Shift: Mon-Fri
Locations: Southington, New Britain, Meriden, and Torrington
Schedule: Full Time; 4-day work week option available
Signing bonus: available
Responsibilities- Provide value-based care in an ambulatory setting as an Oncology PA or NP
- Participate in triage and the spectrum of outpatient management, including benign hematology visits, sick/urgent visits, chemotherapy education/teach visits, and survivorship care
- Perform bone marrow aspirations and oversee infusion follow-up appointments
- Collaborate with the cancer care team to support ongoing survivorship and patient education
- Contribute to building a comprehensive cancer program within Hartford Health Care

- Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is required
- Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant (PA), or National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required
- Oncology experience as a PA, NP, or RN is preferred
