• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• 18 months of recent acute care emergency room nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications may be required
• Additional qualifications as determined by the client

• Assess, intervene, and stabilize trauma and illness cases with decisive action.
• Apply broad medical knowledge to a wide range of urgent conditions.
• Understand and implement triage to prioritize patient care.
• Make rapid, accurate assessments of incoming patients, including physical and mental status.
