Certified Nurses Aide; CNA

Apple Rehab Coccomo is a 100‑bed skilled nursing community located in Meriden, CT. We are looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to provide exceptional care to our residents.

Competitive pay starting at $20 per hour.

• 3–11 pm part‑time and full‑time openings
• Per diem applicants welcome

• Assist residents with daily bathing, grooming, dental care, and bowel and bladder functions
• Help residents with dressing, walking, wheelchair use, and positioning in and out of bed
• Document personal care provided according to facility policies
• Perform nursing functions as directed, including perineal care, bed making, turning residents, and measuring and recording temperature, weight, pulse, and respiration
• Observe and report to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns
• Report accidents or injuries immediately
• Complete all charting entries accurately
• Answer all call lights regardless of assignment
• Respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions
• Strong attention to detail with excellent follow‑through and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills
• Displays patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward residents and their support networks

Per diem staff are expected to perform two weekend shifts per month to meet requirements.
