Hartford Healthcare seeks an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver advanced oncology care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In collaboration with oncologists and a multidisciplinary team, you will conduct assessments, manage chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens, coordinate survivorship and palliative care, and educate patients and families. You will utilize cutting-edge technologies and evidence-based protocols while contributing to quality initiatives.

- Conduct comprehensive oncology assessments and histories
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and imaging
- Develop and adjust chemotherapy and immunotherapy care plans under collaborative practice agreements
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment-related toxicities and side effects
- Provide symptom management, supportive, and palliative care in collaboration with the care team
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and survivorship care plans
- Coordinate care with oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, nurses, and ancillary services
- Document care in the electronic health record in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives
- Support clinical trials and adherence to evidence-based oncology protocols when applicable
- Oncology patient assessment
- Chemotherapy and immunotherapy management
- Prescriptive authority and pharmacology
- Management of treatment-related toxicities
- Palliative and supportive care
- Central line and infusion therapy management
- Diagnostic imaging and lab interpretation
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation

- National board certification as an APRN (e.g., AANP/ANCC) or PA-C

- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ongoing CME in oncology/hematology
