Travel Nurse – RN – Stepdown Unit

Role Overview:
A Stepdown Registered Nurse provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, requiring close monitoring and complex interventions.
Responsibilities include interpreting cardiac rhythms, administering medications, assisting with cardiac procedures, monitoring patient safety, documenting assessments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
The role demands critical thinking, excellent communication, physical stamina, and technical skills to handle telemetry equipment and respond to emergencies effectively.
Qualifications include at least one year of recent stepdown experience, a valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications; additional certifications like PCCN or NIHSS are preferred.
