Quality Management System (QMS) Ownership Own and maintain the company's document control program, ensuring all quality and food safety documentation remains current, approved, accessible, and properly controlled.

Manage SOPs, work instructions, policies, forms, specifications, HACCP documents, and food safety programs through established revision and approval workflows.

Review and maintain finished product and ingredient specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance and develop clear photo standards that support consistent product quality, visual expectations, and operational alignment.

Maintain USDA, HACCP, GMP guidelines on the production floor. Assists in enforcing GMPs such as handwashing, glove use, proper cleaning of utensils and equipment.

Collaborate with USDA inspectors during inspections, audits, and ongoing regulatory verification activities.

Maintain document revision history and ensure obsolete documents are removed from use.

Support the implementation and maintenance of digital quality management systems and document repositories.

Maintain accurate and up to date calibration records, and promptly identify and report any inoperable or non-compliant equipment to ensure timely corrective action.

Conduct thorough reviews of HACCP records to ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements, and promptly identify, document, and escalate any discrepancies or gaps requiring corrective action.

Conduct and thoroughly document monthly internal audits for food safety, food defense audits, monthly knife audits, as well as annual locker inspections and glass and brittle plastic assessments, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, SQF, and company requirements while identifying gaps, driving corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement and audit readiness.

Foreign Object, QC Hold & Release & Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) Management Identify, communicate, and thoroughly document any quality issues, non-conformances, or process deficiencies, escalating them promptly to the QA Manager and Shift Supervisor to ensure timely evaluation, corrective action, and resolution.

Serve as administrator of the company FO, H&R, CAPA system.

Maintain the FO, H&R, CAPA log and ensure corrective actions are properly documented, assigned, investigated, verified, and closed.

Track overdue actions and escalate risks to department leaders and the Quality Manager.

Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and identify recurring trends requiring broader systemic improvements.

Provide monthly FO, H&R, CAPA status reporting to leadership.

Customer Specifications & Label Compliance Maintain customer specification databases and ensure information remains accurate and current.

Coordinate specification revisions resulting from formulation, ingredient, supplier, packaging, or regulatory changes.

Manage label review and approval processes to ensure compliance with customer, FDA, USDA, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate communication of specification changes across Operations, Purchasing, Production, Planning, and Customer Service.

Support onboarding of new customer products through specification development and quality documentation review.

Quality Metrics & Reporting Maintain the Quality Dashboard and support KPI reports.

Collect, analyze, and report quality performance metrics including:

Customer Complaint Rate Hold & Release ActivityCAPA Status Audit Findings First Pass Yield Non-Conformance Trends Supplier Quality Issues Regulatory Compliance Status Prepare monthly reporting packages for Management review and leadership meetings.

Identify emerging risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement & Quality Support Support implementation of quality system improvements and process standardization initiatives.

Collaborate closely with Production Supervisors and team members to ensure adherence to established quality and customer standards, promoting consistent product integrity and compliance across all operations.

Assist with food safety program updates, SQF maintenance activities, and annual program reviews.
