Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
Shift Availability: 15–29 hours/week (incl. weekends, evenings, holidays). Hourly Pay Rate: $17.00/hr location: 443 South Broad St, Meriden, CT 06450.
As a Retail Sales Associate at Curaleaf, you’ll be the face of our brand and the go-to expert for our customers, helping them explore our cannabis products and delivering top‑tier service with every interaction.
What You’ll DoCustomer Experience & Teamwork
- Greet and assist all guests in a warm, professional manner to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Build strong and genuine connections with customers, ask thoughtful questions, and offer personalized product advice.
- Address concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Encourage loyalty by signing guests up for rewards programs.
- Work closely with your team to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and upbeat atmosphere.
Operations & Store Standards
- Help open and close the store, handle cash, and follow all procedures and regulations.
- Check IDs, update customer profiles, and process transactions accurately.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Support inventory tasks such as restocking, fulfilling online orders, and counting products.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily sales goals through upselling and product knowledge.
- Highlight deals and complementary items at checkout to boost customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on promotions and product updates for a seamless experience.
- Adapt quickly in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Take on additional duties as needed to support the team and store success.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months of experience in a customer‑facing or sales role.
- Minimum 6 months experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and handling cash.
- Ability to thrive independently and as part of a team in a compliance‑driven environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer‑centered approach.
- Strong multitasking abilities and priority‑shifting agility.
- Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools.
- Solid time‑management and organizational skills.
- Effective de‑escalation techniques and a calm, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Basic proficiency in math and computer applications.
- Positive, proactive mindset for resolving customer issues.
- Strong conflict‑resolution skills and composure under pressure.
- Team‑first attitude and readiness to support store leadership.
- Natural ability to build rapport and maintain lasting customer relationships.
- Background in a sales role with KPI tracking and sales target achievement.
- Familiarity with e‑commerce systems and order fulfillment processes.
- Previous experience in a regulated retail setting.
Employees may be required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands and fingers, lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and maintain close vision. Work may involve exposure to dust, pollen, plant pathogens and confined spaces.
