Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a team in Meridian, Idaho on a Long-term Contract assignment. This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close activities, and producing reliable reporting for business decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate and resolve variances in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Record and evaluate journal entries to support accurate accounting activity across the general ledger.
• Contribute to monthly and annual close cycles by completing assigned accounting tasks within established deadlines.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and research variances to ensure records are complete and correct.
• Develop financial reports and supplemental schedules that provide clear support for reported results.
• Oversee general ledger accuracy by maintaining organized documentation and validating posted transactions.
• Assist with audit preparation by gathering requested materials and addressing accounting-related inquiries.
• Participate in special accounting initiatives and provide analytical support for department priorities.
• Monitor adherence to company accounting guidelines and control standards throughout daily processes.
