Operations Trainee Program

Location: Meridian, Idaho (Operations Center)

Sunwest Bank’s Operations Trainee Program is a 12‑month rotational program designed for early‑career professionals and high‑potential talent interested in building a long‑term career in bank operations and leadership.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience rotating through multiple operations teams, working on real projects, and learning how a bank operates end‑to‑end. The program is designed to develop strong operational talent and prepare participants for permanent roles within the Operations Division after completion.

• Rotate through multiple departments within the Operations Division
• Learn bank products, services, and operational processes
• Support projects and initiatives that impact customers and the bank
• Work closely with Operations leaders and cross‑functional teams
• Participate in training, professional development, and community activities
• Track progress and complete program milestones and assignments

• Bachelor’s degree
• Interest in banking, operations, or business careers
• Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills
• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and take initiative
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Prior banking or customer‑focused experience is helpful but not required.

• Based in Sunwest Bank’s Operations Center in Meridian, Idaho
• Occasional travel for training or meetings may be required
• Work hours may vary depending on rotation and business needs
