This position is located at the corporate headquarters in Meridian, Idaho. #LI-Onsite To be considered for this opportunity, you have the following:
Required Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in product management, product strategy, portfolio leadership, or product lifecycle management, preferably within healthcare, health insurance, or related regulated industries, with at least 5 years of senior people leadership experience, including leading leaders and cross-functional teams through complexity and change.
Demonstrated success aligning product strategy to business growth, customer needs, and market opportunity.
Experience leading enterprise product governance, prioritization, roadmap planning, and investment decisions.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect product decisions to revenue, profitability, competitive position, and customer outcomes.
Proven ability to influence across executive partners and lead through ambiguity, scale, and transformation.
Required
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Two years of relevant work experience is equivalent to one year of college.)We’d also love it if you had:
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Health insurance or broader healthcare industry experience.
Understanding of broker-distribution and customer experience dynamics.
Experience leading portfolio transformation, innovation strategy, or new product development.
Knowledge of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) product requirements.
Experience with technical and business requirements definition, workflow design, policy/procedure development, and operating model design.
Strong program and change leadership experience in highly matrixed environments.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the enterprise product portfolio strategy for Gemstone offerings, ensuring alignment with revenue growth, market opportunity, and distribution priorities.
Own the full product management lifecycle, including strategy, development, roadmap prioritization, governance, implementation oversight, and lifecycle performance.
Drive portfolio-level decision-making, including investment tradeoffs, prioritization, and resource allocation across products, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
Partner closely with revenue, distribution, operations, technology, and functional leaders to translate customer, broker, and market insights into innovative and differentiated product strategies.
Establish consistent product management practices, governance, and execution standards across the portfolio to improve speed, quality, and strategic alignment.
Evaluate product performance across the lifecycle and make disciplined decisions regarding investment, optimization, expansion, or sunset.
Guide the development and execution of a multi-year product roadmap that supports enterprise growth, diversified revenue streams, and scalable operating models.
Serve as the executive voice of the product portfolio, communicating priorities, tradeoffs, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and key business partners.
Foster a high-performing, market-informed, and innovation-driven product organization with strong accountability, enterprise thinking, and data-informed decision-making.
