Through data-driven planning and analysis, the Resource Specialist enables informed decisions related to staffing, hiring, training, and resource investments that support customer delivery and business growth.

  • Maintain visibility into engineer availability, assignments, project demands, pipeline opportunities, and competing priorities.
  • Monitor upcoming work and identify potential resource constraints, scheduling conflicts, capacity gaps, and delivery risks.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership on workload balancing, resource prioritization, and workforce allocation decisions.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between engineering teams and business stakeholders regarding resource planning and assignments.
Capacity & Workforce Management
  • Analyze sales pipeline, project forecasts, managed services demand, and strategic initiatives to identify future resource requirements and capacity trends.
  • Monitor utilization, workforce constraints, competing priorities, and capacity risks across engineering teams.
  • Identify skill gaps, workforce shortages, and emerging resource needs, providing recommendations related to hiring, upskilling, and workforce planning.
  • Maintain visibility into engineer skills, certifications, technical expertise, and capability readiness in partnership with Program Compliance and Engineering Leadership.
  • Support workforce development initiatives including cross-training, mentorship programs, succession planning, certification readiness, and career development efforts.
  • Identify emerging technology, service delivery, and workforce trends to support future capability development and staffing strategies.
Resource Operations & Process Improvement
  • Develop and maintain resource management processes, reporting, documentation, and organizational tools that improve visibility, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights related to resource capacity, demand, utilization, workforce readiness, and resource planning activities.
  • Proactively communicate resource risks, workforce constraints, assignment changes, and planning considerations to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements that enhance resource management practices and operational effectiveness.
  • Support Engineering Leadership with planning, reporting, analysis, and special initiatives as needed.
Team Support
  • Support engineering team readiness by coordinating training opportunities, certification initiatives, technical labs, knowledge-sharing programs, and professional development activities.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination related to engineering meetings, workforce initiatives, team events, and organizational programs.
  • Participate in customer, partner, and internal meetings to understand business priorities, resource requirements, and operational needs.
