Position: Estimator – Brighton Homes Meridian,

Responsible for managing and publishing specifications for jobs and assisting with a variety of purchasing and estimating tasks in support of homebuilding operations.

• Create and manage specification workbooks for various plans/product lines, keeping them current with discontinuations, product changes, and new plans.
• Maintain and update construction‑related sales tools used by the Project Coordinator team and Sales (e.g., option libraries, lighting exhibits, trim exhibits, photos of specifications, feature sheets).
• Work with the Design team to obtain job finish selections and customizations for each job.
• Meet production deadlines by ensuring job specifications are prepared and published in time for budget preparation.
• Upload project plans and specifications to the Builder Portal.
• Notify trades and team of specification or plan changes and update the Builder Portal with revised documents.
• Review cabinet shops for compliance with specifications and verify that bids align with specifications and budget pricing.

• Assist the AP team with review of invoices that don’t align with budget expectations.
• Issue purchase orders or vendor purchase orders.
• Query data from software to create spreadsheets for use by other team members.
• Perform quantity takeoffs of plans.
• Manage the database of unit costs.

• 3–5 years of experience in residential construction.
• Proficiency in understanding plans, specifications, construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
• High level of comfort working in Excel, accounting software, and similar tools to organize and analyze data.
• Hands‑on experience with digital takeoff tools (Bluebeam, Autodesk, or similar).
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
• Detail‑oriented and organized to keep deadlines in place.
• Resourceful in identifying and improving processes.

This position is onsite in Meridian,  is not a remote position.
