About

This Opportunity

Okland is seeking a Safety Technician (Safety II) to support and strengthen our culture of safety across project teams. This role is ideal for a safety professional who is building field leadership experience and ready to take the next step in their career.

As a Safety Technician, you will work closely with the project team and Safety Manager to ensure jobsite safety standards are upheld, training is delivered effectively, and team members feel supported in making safe decisions. You will be active in the field daily, helping reinforce Okland’s C.A.R.E. values (Create a Remarkable Experience) by promoting accountability, awareness, and proactive safety practices.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
  • Perform routine job-site safety inspections and audits
  • Document site conditions, observations, and corrective actions through written reports and photos
  • Assist in maintaining a proactive, positive safety culture on the project
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation and assist with project-specific training
  • Support supervisor and foreman safety meetings
  • Help facilitate specialty safety trainings (e.g., fall protection, respirator fit testing)
  • Assist with incident investigations and documentation
  • Review and support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task plans
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with federal, state, and company safety standards
  • Identify potential hazards and work with field leadership to implement corrective actions
  • Support ongoing safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
YOU’RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE
  • 2–4 years of construction safety experience (commercial construction preferred)
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • OSHA 510 certification
  • STSC certification preferred or willingness to pursue
  • Experience working on active commercial jobsites
