Tutors Needed - Elementary

We are currently seeking part‑time tutors to teach reading and writing to elementary school students at our Grade Power Learning Meridian‑Boise center. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of ELA, and is passionate about helping others build their learning skills in these areas.
Position RequirementsAll tutors at Grade Power Learning need flexibility to work during after‑school and evening hours:
Monday‑Friday (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) at least 2 days a week. A commitment of a year is preferred and continuing longer is even better. Your students will love working with you, so reliability is a must.
This role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to this location; this is not an online position. Background check is mandatory.
We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:
Education- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is ideal
- Second‑year or later university students with tutoring experience are encouraged to apply as well
- Teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of the current K‑5th grade curriculum
- Some experience teaching or tutoring at an elementary school (or equivalent) level is required
- Strong English writing, oral communication skills, and ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Teach up to three students at a time at different levels
- Teach in‑person
- Follow the Grade Power Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Complete daily student communication updates to key staff
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times

Part‑time
Salary$20 – $23 per hour (based on prior experience and education)
Schedule- Evenings
- At least two days a week from Monday to Friday
