We are seeking an experienced Environmental Field Technician to support stormwater, water quality and environmental compliance efforts for a large heavy-civil construction project in remote Central Idaho. This is a remote project and anticipated to be a rotational position working approximately 2-3 weeks on and one week off during the construction season (late April through early November, weather permitting), with camp housing and meals provided.
This project is expected to span for approximately three years.
General Responsibilities
The Environmental Field Technician is responsible for:
- Conducting SWPPP and BMP inspections
- Performing stormwater sampling and water quality monitoring (pH, turbidity, conductivity)
- Maintaining accurate field logs, inspection reports and digital documentation
- Coordinating with project environmental leads to support regulatory compliance during construction
- Work independently in remote terrain during active construction operations
- CESCL or equivalent
- Construction stormwater experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote field environments
- Strong documentation skills
- Mine or large civil construction project experience
- Environmental sampling experience
- Cross trained in construction materials testing
- MSHA New Miner Training (part 46)
Skills and Abilities
:
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a customer service mindset.
- Effective verbal and written communications abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and dependable, with strong judgment and accountability when working alone
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Comfortable using computers and mobile devices such as a tablet to record field data.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and maneuver up to 75 lbs. with assistance.

Salary Description
$30-$36/hour (includes remote mine premium)
