About the Role
Our Industrial Center of Excellence (ICoE) team at WSP is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join our team. Our group specializes in high‑performing projects focusing on the future in food and beverage, Federal, and industrial facility design. The goal is to deliver excellent projects together with a positive experience for our clients and the communities. You’ll help develop construction documents for a variety of clients.

- A major component of our design process relies on Building Information Modeling (BIM). In particular, the use of Autodesk Revit Structural is one of the integrated collaboration tools used in communicating 3‑D design to our project teams, owners, and construction professionals.
- There is a lot of latitude for decision‑making; we’re not interested in micromanaging.
- We expect everyone on the team to assume ownership of the project's goals and success.
- Design and analyze structural systems for building cores, shells, and foundations, including steel, concrete, and masonry elements.
- Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes (IBC, ACI, AISC).
- Coordinate with architects and other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) to integrate structural design into overall facility plans.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in structural design for facilities or industrial projects.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software, including STAAD, RAM, Risa, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Knowledge of building codes and standards; strong technical writing and coordination skills.
- EIT license preferred.
- Experience with Navisworks.
- Experience with food & beverage or federal facility projects; familiarity with BIM workflows.
- Previous design and consulting experience.

CompensationExpected Salary (all locations): $67,600 - $93,060.
