Job SummaryAs a Professional Land Surveyor, you will support both office and field operations across multiple locations. This role combines technical production, quality control, and light project coordination, with an emphasis on delivering accurate, high-quality survey products.
Responsibilities Include:- Perform survey research, boundary analysis, and document review (deeds, title reports, public records)
- Prepare and review:
- Records of Survey
- ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
- Plats, lot line adjustments, and legal descriptions
- Conduct quality control (QA/QC) on survey deliverables
- Support drafting and final mapping using AutoCAD Civil 3D (Micro Station experience a plus)
- Assist with project tracking, budgeting, and invoicing
- Collaborate with field crews and office staff across multiple offices
- Perform occasional field work using Trimble survey equipment
- Maintain accurate project documentation and adhere to QA/QC standards
- All other duties as assigned
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Idaho with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Strong knowledge of Idaho surveying laws and regulations
- Proven experience in boundary resolution and Records of Survey
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
- Familiarity with IDOT standards and survey requirements
- Experience with Trimble equipment and field procedures
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Licensure in additional western states
- Micro Station experience
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Background in:
- ALTA surveys
- Land development and ROW surveys
- Topographic surveys and construction staking
