JST is an industry leader, dedicated to providing state-of-the‑art wet processing, drying, and chemical management tools for applications in semiconductors, electronics, flat panel displays, optoelectronics, medical devices, and other industries where cleanliness is critical.
We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our Engineering team and support the design and development of custom wet processing equipment.
What You'll Do- Design mechanical and automation systems, including plumbing and tank systems, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.
- Support the development of system and engineering specifications by evaluating design feasibility and updating specifications as project requirements evolve.
- Prepare final engineering drawings and develop approval drawing layouts as assigned.
- Respond to manufacturing questions and requests for information. Verify products are manufactured according to engineering specifications and resolve discrepancies by updating drawings, routings, and bills of materials (BOMs) as needed.
- Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), routers and manufacturing instructions.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule to support manufacturing timelines and customer ship dates.
- Collaborate with engineering team members to coordinate designs, communicate design constraints, and develop effective technical solutions.
- Assist with project estimating and quoting by developing design concepts, selecting components, and providing manufacturing cost inputs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in equipment manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or the semiconductor industry.
- Proficiency with Solid Works and 3D CAD design.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design‑for‑manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plumbing diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
