J-U-B Engineers, Inc. () is seeking an Engineer in Training to join our Traffic Engineering team within our Professional, Scientific & Technical Services practice. In this entry-level role, you will assist with traffic studies, data collection, and analysis, and support the planning and design of intersections, corridors, and safety improvements for communities across the Inland Northwest and Intermountain West. Working in our employee-owned, collaborative culture, you'll receive strong mentorship, contribute to impactful transportation projects, and gain diverse experience that supports professional licensure and long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support traffic studies including data collection, modeling, and safety analysis
  • Assist with planning and design of intersections, corridors, and traffic control devices
  • Prepare figures, exhibits, and technical sections for reports and studies
  • Develop and edit plans using CAD and related design software under supervision
  • Coordinate with project engineers and planners to meet scope, budget, and schedule
  • Document assumptions, calculations, and methodologies for project files
  • Perform field observations and site visits to support traffic and transportation projects
  • Participate in QA/QC processes and adhere to design standards and guidelines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a client-focused, employee-owned environment
  • Pursue professional development toward PE licensure with mentorship from senior staff
