Job Summary

As a member of Mountain America’s wealth management team, you will collaborate with MACU branches and a third‑party broker dealer to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions to members. This role supports nearby branches and is pivotal in delivering personalized financial guidance, enhancing member relationships, and assisting members with defining and achieving their financial goals.

Meridian,  – Ten Mile Rd Branch (6161 North Ten Mile Road). This team member may support other nearby branches as needed.

Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

• Assist with data entry, account servicing, and branch trainings.
• Attend joint appointments with clients as needed.
• Maintain and deepen long‑term relationships with credit union members, conducting periodic reviews and providing education.
• Document all interactions within a CRM system and follow up promptly on all member inquiries.
• Develop comprehensive financial plans that align with members’ objectives, including retirement, education, tax, estate planning, and insurance needs.
• Make fiduciary product recommendations to improve members’ financial situations and monitor for changes.
• Identify opportunities to grow the wealth management program through cross‑selling credit union products and generating referrals.
• Maintain productive relationships with branch partners and educate them on wealth management principles to encourage referrals.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and ethical standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity in all member interactions.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of member interactions and financial plans in accordance with compliance and broker dealer requirements.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or completion of an accredited college program.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, enrollment in an accredited college program, or 2 years in a related field.
• Required licenses/certifications within 90 days of hire if not active: SIE (Securities Industry Essentials), Life Insurance, Series7, and Series
  63 /65 (or Series
  66 in place of 63&65).
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook skills; ability to learn applicable software required for the role.
• Strong communication and coaching skills; ability to respond to member inquiries efficiently.
• Superior sales skills with command of investment and insurance products, including mutual funds and annuities.
• Thorough understanding of economic principles and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and respond appropriately to changing work demands; ability to multi‑task many high‑priority tasks.

Ability to read, interpret, and write documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, members, or clients.

This job is not eligible to be performed in Colorado or Connecticut, either remotely or in‑person.
