The Massage Therapist will provide personalized care to patients suffering from acute pain after a traumatic injury. Patients are prescribed massage therapy by the treating chiropractor, and the Massage Therapist will build rapport with these patients and improve their overall quality of life through effective treatment.
What You’ll Do- Prepare the massage room
- Sanitize the massage room between patients and at the end of a shift
- Communicate with patients, coworkers, and the ordering Chiropractor
- Deliver personalized care to patients based on their injuries and needs
- Assist the team in any way possible during downtime
- Arrive to work punctually
- Utilize UKG for time-keeping
- Other duties as assigned
- Stamina to perform 50-minute massages for an entire shift
- Communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Adaptability
- Hand-eye coordination
- Active Utah Massage Therapy license required
- Experience working with musculoskeletal injuries
- At least two years of experience preferred
- Prolonged periods of activity
- Physical strength and stamina to massage patients for 50 minutes at a time
- Ability to massage for the entirety of a shift
Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, bending at the waist, kneeling, stair climbing, climbing ladders, arms extended, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
Motor Vehicle Report MonitoringIn the event an employee does not maintain the required vehicle insurance or a valid driver’s license, they shall not be eligible for mileage reimbursement and may be barred from operating a company vehicle. Operating a vehicle without a valid license or required insurance may lead to disciplinary action up to termination.
