The Patient Financial Navigator works closely with patients to guide them through the financial care application process, ensuring the organization meets and maintains regulatory requirements while providing necessary financial assistance and maintaining accurate, compliant billing processes.
Responsibilities- Screens patients to determine eligibility for internal assistance programs and foundation funds, assists with applications and documentation, and communicates eligibility outcomes.
- Assists patients with billing support by helping them set up payment plans, exploring options, and addressing billing concerns with clear explanations.
- Collaborates with revenue‑cycle teams to resolve discrepancies related to financial assistance and patient accounts.
- Applies pharmaceutical funding to applicable patient balances and processes the payment to reconcile the account.
- Makes calls to patients to gather sufficient information for processing financial assistance applications or foundation‑fund access.
- Acts as a liaison between patients, physicians, patient clinics, and the centralized billing office.
- Solves problems of limited complexity and refers more complex issues to higher levels.

- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
