This position is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, rinsing, and polishing workstations, production and packaging equipment. It requires good physical stamina and the ability to perform light to heavy scrubbing, sweeping and rinsing. The role is for C and D shifts, working nights.

• Has knowledge of cleaning chemicals, their use, safety precautions, proper cleaning techniques, methods, and procedures.
• Prepares and/or mixes cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
• Uses foaming equipment to apply cleaning chemicals to equipment.
• Scrubs equipment using scrub brushes and/or pads to clean, sanitize, and polish equipment using diluted cleaning chemicals.
• Maintains good housekeeping in assigned area: sweeps with a broom and/or squeegee, shovels, scrubs using scrub brushes and/or pads and scrapers, and rinses equipment with high pressure water and/or air hoses.
• Changes grader shaker screens in packaging rooms and in prep area when required.
• Wears required PPE.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Sanitation certification is required. If not qualified, training will be provided and certification requirements must be met.
• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Understand instructions and follow directions in English.
• Know potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being performed.
• Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
• Exposed to noisy environment that varies from hot to cold.
• Work in manufacturing environments up to 8 hours per work day including loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies.
• Perform repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements.
• Work with hands and arms overhead, and under equipment.
• Manual dexterity, coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places.
• Operate work related equipment.
• Vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
• Exposure to temperatures ranging from
  -20°F to 35°F in Freezer Operation and 37°F to 90°F in Plant Operation.
• May sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products.
• Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis.
