- OR Suites for C-Sections: 2 (L&D RNs circulate)
- Triage Beds: 4
- Postpartum Beds: 10
- Births: ~120/month
- Ratios follow AWHONN standards
- L&D: 1:1
- Postpartum: 1:6 couplet care
- BLS, ACLS, NRP
- STABLE (taken at least once)
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- Laboring patients 32+ weeks
- Elective & medical inductions
- Stable antepartum patients
- Postpartum patients & well newborns
- L&D, Postpartum, and circulating experience required
- Triage experience strongly preferred
- RN drip titration required
- Pitocin (per protocol)
- Magnesium
- Rarely insulin
- Charge RN, Resource RN, and House Supervisor each shift (no patient assignments)
- CNA support 4–5 days/nights per week
- Unit Clerk 24/7
- OB Hospitalist 24/7, Midwives on call
- Neonatal NP 24/7, Neonatologist on call (≤15 min)
- CRNA 24/7
- EFM System: GE Connect
12‑hour shifts: 7a–7p / 7p–7a. Max 5 shifts in a row per policy. Weekends & holidays based on unit needs. No call or standby required.
FloatingRequired to float to like units (Nampa & Boise L&D). Locations within ~20 minutes. Advance notice provided; floating is infrequent.
OrientationCustomized per traveler, typically 4–6 shifts.
ScrubsBlue scrubs provided on unit.
