Apprentice Plumber
This long-term opportunity is ideal for apprentice plumbers who want to build their careers in new construction across both commercial and residential projects in the Treasure Valley. You will work as part of a rapidly growing team, installing plumbing systems in large commercial and industrial buildings as well as new-build tract homes, with a focus on installation rather than service work.
Responsibilities- Install plumbing systems in new construction environments for large commercial and industrial buildings as well as new residential tract homes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine the layout and routing of piping and fixtures.
- Assist with the layout, assembly, and installation of piping, fittings, valves, and plumbing fixtures according to specifications and building codes.
- Support commercial construction plumbing activities, including rough-in, top-out, and final trim work.
- Support residential construction plumbing activities, including installation of water supply, drain, waste, and vent systems in new-build homes.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes and related components safely and accurately.
- Work closely with journeyman plumbers and forepersons to complete assigned tasks on schedule and to quality standards.
- Follow mechanical and installation instructions to ensure proper function and durability of installed systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on active construction sites and follow site safety rules and procedures.
- Travel between various commercial and residential job sites within the Treasure Valley as project needs require.
- Communicate effectively with team members, general contractors, and other trades to coordinate work and resolve basic installation issues.
- 1–3 years of experience as a plumbing apprentice, preferably in new construction settings.
- Valid plumbing apprentice card or registration as required for apprentice-level work.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing installation in commercial construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing installation in residential construction projects.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and construction drawings.
- Experience installing piping, fixtures, and related plumbing components in new-build environments.
- Familiarity with basic mechanical principles related to plumbing systems.
- Ability to use common plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Capability to work full-time on active construction sites, including standing, bending, and lifting as required by the job.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on both large commercial or industrial buildings and residential tract homes.
- Background in new construction plumbing rather than service or repair work.
- Exposure to both rough-in and finish plumbing phases.
- Ability to follow instructions from journeyman plumbers and site supervisors and work well within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable transportation to travel to different job sites within the Treasure Valley.

WorkEnvironment
You will work primarily at new commercial and residential construction sites across the Treasure Valley. The schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some fluctuation depending on project needs and general contractor or builder requirements.
