Entry Level Field Technicians

Geo Tek is looking for field technicians to join our Meridian office to work on residential and commercial projects. Candidates should have a Nuke Gauge, WAQTC, or ACI Field certification or be willing to learn a new trade. Must be willing to work outside performing field testing, have a truck, van, SUV or similar vehicle to carry equipment for taking field samples (we pay you for the use of your own vehicle).

Pay depends on certifications and experience. Vehicle and gas reimbursements are provided.

Performs a variety of testing, project‑specific observations, and site assessment duties. Operates equipment, conducts tests/assessments and reports data. Works from drawings, specifications, diagrams, schematics and specific verbal and written instructions. Uses specific methods to observe site activities, take samples, and perform tests. Makes minor adjustments and modifications as needed.

Effectively communicates with Supervisor and Dispatch to obtain daily work assignments; prepares daily data reports of testing and inspections; competently performs all tests and inspections assigned; prepares and submits company documents related to projects; submits own time sheet for approval daily; obtains proper field authorizations signed by the client when required or when work beyond the original scope is requested; advises Supervisor or Project Manager of any changes in work scope or potential budget overruns;

maintains positive business relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers.

• Nuke Gauge certification
• WAQTC DTT certification
• ACI Field certification
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Ability to accomplish tasks under adverse weather and/or site conditions
• Good or corrected vision and manual dexterity
• Truck, van or SUV suitable for performing job duties

$17—$25 USD
