U-Haul Preventive Maintenance Technician

U-Haul is looking for skilled technicians to perform preventive maintenance on Ford and GMC trucks. This role is part of our Technician Training Program and offers continuous career growth with the largest fleet of trucks and trailers.

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Provide assistance in additional areas as directed by supervisor.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance.

The work involves manual labor and requires safety awareness, protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves or shields.

Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs (assisted or unassisted) and frequent standing, sitting, and moving beneath equipment is required.
