The shift for this role will be:
Sunday - Thursday from 3pm to 11:30pm.
- All Fleet Technicians are required to perform the basic tasks of performing routine Preventative Maintenance (PM's) for all Fleet vehicles.
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs for Heavy Duty Truck Tractors, Trucks and Trailers.
- Disassemble, repair and re‑assemble Heavy Truck & Trailer components; including but not limited to diesel engines, transmissions, axles and any other components or systems.
- Clean up the assigned work area after each job, wash or fuel trucks as required, and perform basic facility and company tool repairs as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times, reporting any safety concerns or unsafe tool conditions to Shift Lead or Fleet Supervisor.
- Drive Tractor/Trailers and/or Trucks for test drives and/or the return of vehicles to various Shamrock division facilities.
- Use and maintain company tools properly while performing repairs, and seek instruction from a Supervisor if unfamiliar with operation.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
- Level II – Three (3) years of related experience in a Heavy‑Duty Truck repair environment, such as Private Fleet, Truck Dealership, Full Service Leasing Company or Government Sector.
- Level III – Five (5) years of related experience and knowledge in a Heavy‑Duty Truck repair environment, such as Private Fleet, Truck Dealership, Full Service Leasing Company or Government Sector.
- All levels of Fleet Technician must provide all hand tools and lockable tool boxes required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities described above.
- Shifts may vary. Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Demands:
Must frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
