# Blackhorn Operator Meridian , ## Overview Salary Range $20.00 - $26.00 Hourly## Description SUMMARY OF

JOB PURPOSE:

The Operator will safely load, operate, drive and maintain a volumetric concrete mixer truck as directed by legislation, policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

(Position may include additional functions not listed.)
* Understand the properties of concrete, safely operate a loading mixer, and ability to read a control panel
* Oversee vehicle upkeep and maintenance
* Calculate the amount to be billed depending on the variable inputs
* Follow direction of the Concrete Supervisor as to daily tasks, scheduling, and expectations for each specific project or jobsite
* Conduct Pre and Post trip inspections on vehicle and perform daily safety and maintenance checks
* Work well with all co-workers, residents, and customers
* Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

(Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Positive and friendly attitude, reliable, and adapts well with change
* Pass all DOT required pre-employment criteria as well as company mandated drug and alcohol testing

License/Certification:
* CDL A (Preferred), CDL-B (Minimum), with a clean driving record PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: (physical, environmental, travel, etc.)
* The Operator has a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment and objects. The Operator will have to work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold. The Operator must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way
* The Operator must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. He/she may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection Notes:
