Job Summary:
Advises students on complex academic matters, such as course selection and degree requirements, while maintaining appropriateconfidentiality, updates student advising records and contributes to the development of academic advising-related programming. This individual also works with students who pose retention risks toensure all students reach academic, personal, and professional success. Provide direction and supervision to Advisor I.
Job Description:
- Receives, processes and responds to academic inquiriesaccording to established policies and procedures, handling requeststhat require escalation due to complexity.
- Serves as a main point of contact for students who poseretention risks, providing complex organizational information abouteducational options, academic requirements, and institutionalresources and addressing their needs.
- Counsels students in identifying and assessing their interests,skills and values to match appropriate fields of study and career options and refers students to appropriate institutionalresources.
- Maintains confidentiality and accurate student recordsaccording to program policies.
- Develops, plans and implements academic advising programs suchas workshops, panel discussions and guest speakers.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to Academic Advisor I positions.

$46,904.00 - $70,366.40
