Responsibilities- Complete all job assignments satisfactorily and maintain discipline through counsel and reprimand when necessary.
- Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems and support the T‑45 Program flight schedule.
- Ensure safe, quality maintenance/flight line operations and maintain high expertise in aircraft maintenance.
- Lead, supervise, and develop a maintenance team, reviewing performance, addressing personnel issues, and setting priorities.
- Perform off‑site service on assigned detachments and instruct employees on proper maintenance methods.
- Enforce FOD, hazardous waste, and tool control programs, ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Assist with safety, security, and preservation of government/company‑owned equipment and perform other related duties as required.

- Perform all duties of the job classification.
- Manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance and ensure work is scheduled and performed safely and efficiently.
- Supervise maintenance staff, including reviewing employee performance, generating assignments, and setting priorities.
- Instruct assigned employees on proper maintenance methods and procedures.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent with 12 years’ experience in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, or modification; or an associate’s degree with 8 years’ exempt experience; or a bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ experience.
- Six (6) years of supervisory experience in aircraft maintenance, including workload assignment and shift duties.
- Experience supervising flight operations personnel for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Knowledge of OPNAVINST 4790.2 series, NALCOMIS operating procedures, basic supply procedures, and applicable aircraft.
- Ability to write clearly and accurately, with experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and protection.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain required clearance.
- FAA A and P License desired (but not required).
Work typically occurs in office/hangar environments. May lift objects up to 50 pounds. Requires close, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentConditions may vary from minimal discomfort to severe weather exposure, loud noises, fumes, airborne particles, and electrical hazards.
