About the Position

This is a seasoned level professional program position accountable for various correctional programs within the Department of Corrections. An incumbent in this classification may be responsible for disciplinary investigations, agricultural operations, surveillance, or a farm program. This job differs from the first level in that an incumbent in this classification handles more complex programs and may be required to perform internal affairs investigations.

Position is in the Administrative Remedy Programs (ARP) Department. Duties include but not limited to: receiving ARP mail, prepare correspondence for ARP, data entry, reports and gather necessary information for 2nd step of ARP. Has contact with inmates.

Must be able to abide by the MSPB and MDOC policies, rules and regulations governing the workplace. The ability to adapt quickly, be courteous and maintain confidentiality. Be a team player and goal oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
* NOTE* Applicants with High School diploma/GED or "some college" would need to submit a letter requesting experience to be considered in lieu of education requirement.
