This is second-level professional network infrastructure work involving network operations, administration, troubleshooting, installation, monitoring, security, and support of communication systems and network devices. The incumbent works with network hardware, software, user devices, links, and infrastructure across multiple platforms and network configurations.

Work includes monitoring capacity and performance, assisting with enhancements, implementing equipment or software changes, maintaining network security and backup processes, coordinating with internal and external support providers, and providing technical leadership to first-level staff as assigned.

  • providing technical support and guidance to staff
  • supporting portions of larger network projects or enhancements
  • communicating with users, vendors, agency staff, and technical support providers
  • performing related duties as assigned

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5+ years of information technology experience with emphasis in network operations and administration.

  • maintaining accuracy, reliability, and security of assigned network systems
  • performing related information technology duties as assigned
