Location: Roy M. Wheat Galley Dining Facility, NAS Meridian, MS
Hours: Mon-Sun.
Key Duties:
- Manage bulk subsistence storerooms containing dry, chilled, and frozen provisions.
- Maintain security and inventory accuracy of all accountable food items.
- Preserve food condition through proper subsistence storage practices.
- Monitor and record storeroom temperatures to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Act as receipt inspector for incoming provisions, verifying quality and quantities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure storeroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with sanitation standards.
- Two (2) years of experience in bulk subsistence storeroom management.
- Knowledge of proper storage methods for dry, chilled, and frozen food items.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate inventory tracking.
- Ability to maintain security and accountability of government property.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
